Ingredients

Step 1
Fill a medium pot with water.

Bring the water to a boil.

Add salt and pasta to the boiling water.

Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente.

While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat.

Step 6
Once butter is melted, slowly whisk in milk until smooth.

Step 7
Gradually add shredded cheese, stirring constantly until melted and creamy.

Step 8
Drain the cooked pasta thoroughly.

Step 9
Add the drained pasta to the cheese sauce.

Step 10
Toss to coat evenly, season with pepper, and serve hot.
